Look at any assets you have such as jewelry, land, a whole life insurance policy or anything that can be sold for cash to help pay your loan. When you are desperate you will be amazed at what can be sold and what you can do without. Get a second job to bring in additional income.
It may be temporary but will save your home. Anything you do along these lines says to your lender that you will make sacrifices to keep your home. Everyone sells on E-bay and can run a household sale. Keep in mind you need to come out with a payment until your finances improve.
This is not about trying pay off the entire mortgage. Look at this challenge as one payment at a time. I know everyone hates to ask for help, but sometimes a call to a family member is just what you need to get you through for a month or two. Put pride behind you and ask for help.
